Data & attribution
Terraster is built with what we understand to be free or attribution-only data
sources — see about the data for the full list and the credit each source
asks for. We have made a good-faith effort to comply with each source's licensing,
but license terms change, third-party services get restructured, and jurisdictions
vary. You are responsible for verifying that the licenses fit your specific use
case, especially before commercial deployment or public distribution of anything
you make with this tool.
No warranties
Terraster is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty,
express or implied. That includes — without limitation — fitness for a particular
purpose, uninterrupted service, accuracy of outputs, correctness of geographic
alignment, and continued availability of the third-party data sources the tool
relies on.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diligence Studio, its founders,
employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect,
incidental, consequential, exemplary, or special damages arising out of or related
to your use of this tool, the outputs you generate, your use or distribution of
those outputs, or the acts of any third-party services the tool consumes — even if
Diligence Studio has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree not to sue us
By using Terraster you agree not to bring legal claims against Diligence Studio,
its founders, employees, contractors, or affiliates for anything related to this
tool, its behavior, its availability, its outputs, or the data it fetches. If a
claim is nevertheless brought against Diligence Studio as a result of how you used
the tool or its outputs, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless
Diligence Studio against that claim, including attorney's fees and costs.
Third-party services
Terraster fetches data in real time from AWS, NASA, Carto, EOX, Photon, and
others. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content,
accuracy, availability, licensing changes, or downtime. If a service is discontinued
or its terms change, features that depend on it may stop working without notice.
Not for critical use
Nothing this tool produces should be relied upon for navigational, emergency,
scientific, engineering, medical, safety-critical, or legal purposes. Terraster
is an art tool.
Changes
These terms may change without notice. Your continued use of Terraster after any
change constitutes acceptance of the current version. If you disagree with any part
of these terms, your remedy is to stop using the tool.
